Re-Gifters
Mike Carey

Jen Dik Seong has always been a strong practitioner of the martial art of hapkido, but lately she is letting her hormones get in the way.  Her crush on fellow student and hapkido sparring partner Adam is messing up her focus, and stopping her from thinking straight in general.  Her Korean-American parents are struggling for money, and the hapkido lessons are a special expenditure, treasured for educating her about her heritage, but also it appears, so her dad can show her off to potential business partners!  When Jen spends her precious entry fee money for a big competition on a present for Adam, she is desperate to win a free place in the contest.  But can she figure out what is really important in time, or will she learn that what goes around comes around the hard way?

Another great read from DC Comic's new Minx line, that has a great strong girl character who really kicks butt, and a is a high school story staring minorities that feels believable and true.  Highly recommended.
