I'M GOING TO SEE ADAM !!
I LEAVE THE HOUSE TO GO SEE ADAM LAMBERT IN ERIE PA !!! FUCKYEAH !
AUGUST 10 2AM !!
(i wanted to use a timer but the 4 i tried wouldn't work with LJ :( so i'll have to pretend lol)
So, the other day, i had mentioned how much i wished i could see Adam but b/c of lack of funds / money i wasn't going to be able to. I got a DM from someone saying that they would be willing to get me a ticket if i could make it to the July 13 or 14th show in MI. I worked and tried for about 5 hrs to come up with the needed money to drive down there, but i wasn't able to. It near broke my heart to say no but it was just too soon, i'd only had like 2 days notice. Later that night i got another DM asking if i had looked into the Erie PA show. I checked mapquest (my go to guy cause i suck at geography lol) and realized that it would only be like a 7 hr drive from east of Toronto where i am. I msg'd them back and said i had but had no way to afford both the ticket AND the drive. They assured me that i wouldn't need to worry about the ticket, they would buy it for me. I was FLOORED. Here in just a few hours were 2 ppl, 2 COMPLETE strangers, that were willing to buy my ticket for me just so i could see Adam.
I've been on the shitty end of the stick a lot in my life, more times then i care to remember, so it's not often that i'm used to having random acts of kindness directed TOWARDS me. Throughout the night we DM'd back and forth hammering out some details when she got back to me and said "All done, ticket purchased, it'll be here in about 2wks".
This awesome person also connected me with someone else from Fort Erie who kind of needed a ride (instead of taking the bus) who then in turn connected us with 2 other ppl who wanted to share a room that night to avoid driving right away. So here i sit, Adam Lambert ticket on the way for the concert on August 10 where i'll meet sooo many Badgers, Benches, Creepers and all the rest. I'm thinking of making a sign that says "Shy Badger Sittin on a Bench, Come Say HI" ... cause i really am shy lol i swear :P
So anyway i spent that night in tears for the better part of 4 hrs, because i was sooo overwhelmed with the generosity of strangers. I have serious love for you girls :)
