anyway.,. back to the tv shopping...
So after lunch - yakdog and I venture over to BestBuy to see what I can get for my money. After the hard sell from the salesman (i swear i know him from somewhere and its not from "the list"), i decided on a Panasonic 25 inch idiot box. After verifying that Steve could indeed lift this monstrosity, we set out for the parking lot.
What a bad plan this was. After trying the back seat, the trunk, and the front seat - we realized that stuffing this monstrosity in the car was similar to a birth in reverse of an oversized watermelon in to a midget's ass. We budged and pushed and shoved and while I gave my less than helpful directions - steve only succeeded in drenching his shirt in sweat.
Steve finally grabbed a cutting implement from the trunk and he ripped open the box in a fashion so that he could fit it in the front seat with the seat turned back all the way. It took 10 minutes to pull that one off.
Thankfully, the tv took all of 3 minutes to figure out andf set up once it arrived in my house and then i was all set to enjoy a tv that was 75 percent bigger than my old one. It will take some time to get used to the huge size of the picture (some people are not meant to be viewed at this resolution), but it's totally workable :)
