YESTERDAY, I SAW SAKURAI SHO FROM ARASHI!
I've never thought I'll meet him so soon (hmm it's been four years since i was a fan though haha). Never have I expected him to come to singapore for his movie premiere! I always thought that there was a higher possibility for arashi to have a concert here than any other arashi work (though the possibility of arashi having a concert here is low too..)!
Anyway, let me jot down my experience before i forgot anything. i doubt anyone will read this anyway (cus i have few frens on LJ) so this is just for my own pleasure!
Sho-chan's flight landed in sg at 4.38pm. i reached the place at around 4.30pm haha. Mangaed to get a good spot! Anyway, I kinda came too early? cus he only came out at 6pm! waited for more than an hour and was sweating a lot! first time i actually perspired in changi airport lol. Anyway it was all worth it to catch sho in front of my eyes!
I went with my sister ytd! after a while, we met my sister's senior! Her senior took out her DSLR and passed my sis her phone for recording when sho comes out!
And the wait..perspiring and tired legs/feet/back.
Her senior needed the toilet but she was afraid she would regret it if sho came out while she was in the toilet! My sis was tempted to sit down but was afraid he will miss him when he comes out!
As for me, my feet were aching from tip-toeing to find sho!
At one point in time, the cameraman told all of us to scream. it was for the footage for the premiere? so anyway, we all screamed when the camera was facing us and pretended sho was in front of us. Once the camera turned to the other side of the fans, those who weren't in the direction of the camera started laughing. we all found it rly funny.
There were so many ppl that there were security guards and even a few military men (or shld i call them uniformed officers?) with rifles. I found it amusing tt there were rifles present.
Some tourists at the airport were curious and came up to ask who's coming haha. One Chinese tourist even took a photo of a fan's uchiwa(of sho) even though she didnt know who he was haha.
Some ang mohs were rly funny. They waved to the fans while we were there haha.
After a long wait, Kitagawa Keiko-san came out! There was also a guy wearing a black shirt with her! along with a few security guards. Everyone was so excited! I only noticed the black shirt guy before he disappeared a few secs later. Judginng from everyone's excitement, i think many thought that was sho. That guy had nice hair haha and he was pretty tall. So i thought to myself, "Was sho always that tall?" haha.
After a long while, kitagawa and the black guy came out. turns out he wasnt sho. they went out by another way (not through the fans and barricades). even though majority of the fans there were arashi fans (or maybe all), i think we all wanted sho and keiko to walk together thro the barricades. isnt it quite bad to leave her out?
Then after another long wait, we saw the cameras standing by. Everyone gt damn excited! He was coming out soon!
He finally came out at 6pm! WOAH I FINALLY SAW HIM IN PERSON! the first time i saw him was when he still hasn't collected his luggage. He was there looking at us and probably around him. I'll nvr forget that image! My first time seeing sho! And later he walked out with the guards to get his luggage. First thing i noticed was his hair! haha didnt quite like it then but now i think it is quite nice. and his clothes seem to be wat he used to wear on tv before!
After a while, he walked out of the doors and walked towards us through the barricades! YAY! He was in front of me! A few metres away. At the original spot where I was standing, he was probably less than 1 or 2m away from me! how awesome is that! When he walked past me, I was comparing our height LOL. Maybe i was over-focusing on that cus i kinda forget whether i looked at his face then. I was tip-toeing when he walked past me. I didn't have to tip-toe since i was tall but i still did. so while i was tip-toeing, i was rly much taller than him. so i tot i shld not tip toe to compare our height. So now i guess he is either of the same height as me or slightly shorter (shld we take into acc parallex error since i wasnt directly next to him?). Anyway, my original spot was at the front so i had to run while he continued walking. YES I RAN. NVR IN MY LIFE HAD I IMAGED I WOULD RUN FOR TO SEE AN IDOL/A CELEBRITY/A PERSON.
So he walked and stopped in the middle. Looking around at the fans, uchiwas, banners, etc. There was a banner near him and i read that was why he stopped for an interview there cus the japanese tv station ppl asked him how he felt about the banner. I was standing nearby(after running) but my view wasnt too good. I was blocked by a staff so i could only see sho through the many hands holding cameras sometimes haha! well i could see him clearly and saw his lips moving. That was when i realised there was an interview! I tried listening but couldnt hear a thing. ok maybe i heard a little but i couldnt hear if it was english or japanese! and he posed for a pic there. I saw him stretch his hand to something. I tot he was posing with a fan who is a small kid but turned out he was posing with the banner. Him stopping there to pose was good for all cus we didnt have to run and everyone could see him without moving and everyone could snap their cameras like crazy wahaha. I didnt bother to film or take photos though. But hey, this time sho was ignoring the no photography rule! What an ideal time for everyone to take photos haha!
Anyway, he continued walking after that. And entered his limo. WOW I SAW PHOTOS OF THE LIMO. IT WAS SO LONG. All the fans ran towards that direction. Those in the airport were leaning against the glass windows of the airport. HAHA I DID THAT TOO. kinda embarassing to behave like tt in changi airport but heck care la wahaha! despite leaning, i couldnt see sho i think sigh. and then he was gone in his limo, with a van following him. i think there was a taxi following behind woah.
everyone started walking inwards cus well, the star has gone. the japanese tv station interviewed two grps of fans. I was jumping behind crazily when they were interviewing one grp of fans. I felt so embarassed after that tt i stopped and hoped they wouldnt show it on sg tv. even showing it on japanese tv will b embarassing for me haha! and then they went on to take a picture of the banner which sho stopped for and the grp of fans which made tt banner. IT WAS AN AWESOME BANNER. i didnt take part in making tt banner so obviously i didnt jump behind them!
after that, my sis, her senior and i walked towards the skytrain. We were talking about his hair haha! i didnt expect him to turn up in that hairstyle (becus i havent been watching arashi shows recently cus i was busy). well, we tot it was better than the nazodi hairstyle haha! but well, sho is rly handsome in real life! His features r perfect haha!
As for fanservice, sho gave quite a lot of fanservice haha! he was smiling and waving! He seemed surpised at the banner too!
I guess another amazing thing i felt was tt he reminded me of takuya from UVERworld, another fave band of mine!! their aura and posture i guess felt similar. Maybe it's jus me haha.
Lucky me to have seen him. He came during my birthday week! I feel like an accomplished fan now lol! I feel like 20% of my mission is completed. im left with 80%, that is, to see the other four members!
I hope sho will talk a lot about sg and fans when he returns to japan! and bring the whole group here YAY! Have a concert here and i will definitely try my best to get tickets for my sis and i!
I hope UVERworld will come here too. Haha no relation to JE but i jus had to say it! i nid uver and arashi in sg yay!
ONE LAST IMPT PT TO NOTE. i think that SG ARASHI FANS R AWESOME. everyone was well-behaved. i think no one pushed each other, no one bothered to try to touch sho, no one screamed like they have gone mad. everyone screamed appropriately i guess. there were times when we stopped screaming, like when he was being interviewed or when he posed, everyone kinda quietened down. No one blocked the limo. So we r awesome!
P.S. when sho first walked in front of me, i think i was so excited that i was resting my hand on another fan's shoulder. oops! took me a few secs to realise tt before taking my hand away hehe. and i apologised but maybe she didnt even feel my hand at all haha cus sho was there!!!!!!!
And im going tml to see him again! i want to see him somemore hahah!
