My baby boy is 4!
Can I just tell you how sweet it was this morning? Last night after I wrapped Alex's presents I made him a birthday card from Aaron & I and hung up a couple of balloons/decorations. This morning, at 5:03 a.m. he climbed into bed with me and fell back to sleep. It was exactly 40 minutes before he was born 4 years ago. We woke up with my alarm clock and he just looked at me with those big brown eyes and smiled. I asked him if he knew what day it was and he looked out the window and replied with "day time". lol I said that it was a special day and he just asked "it is?" and I told him that today he was 4 =) He grinned so big and just let out an excited "It IS my special day, I can't believe I'm finally 4!" So I asked what we would do today and his response was "We can play all day, and eat, and go somewhere special for food!" I told him that it was his day and we could do whatever he wanted!
So he left the room bouncing off of the bed "I'm 4 'day, I'm 4 'day" and ran to go tell Samantha. He saw the decorations and yelled "I really am 4 today!!!" lol He had to come grab his frog off of my bed and tell him that he was "4 'day" and that mommy & daddy had made him a special card. When I asked him what he would like for breakfast he replied "Chicken noodle soup" with the most serious look! I asked him "You don't want waffles, pancakes, or cereal?" and he says "I know! Veggiebulls!! I love veggiebulls cause I'm a big boy now!"
Too bittersweet that my baby is 4 today...he's a "big boy now" *sniff*
