So today I've become genuinely into my fantasy that the Doctor has a cat (maybe two even) tucked away on the TARDIS. We have yet to meet this special friend because s/he is smart enough to stay away from the control room and the door. And that's plausible, because we know there's much more to the TARDIS than what we regularly get to see. I imagine
