Sample Post (250 words or more): He was looking slim and well put-together today. He knew this, because he'd checked in the mirror at least fifty times before leaving. Robert Bishop was never nervous. Sometimes he was scared shitless, like when a psychotic immortal was on the loose and intent on ridding him of the pesky need to breathe. Sometimes he was anxious, like when his daughter went missing for days and reappeared on the wrong side of the war. All the same, Bob had never genuinely felt nervous before.

Now...he had either spontaneously become as vain as his estranged daughter, or he was finally figuring out what nervousness was. He couldn't say he enjoyed it, either. Personally, he hoped it was a fit of vanity, as his wife often told him he could to with a little fittening up. With the people he was meeting, though, he doubted that was the case. Generally, he was a brilliant liar...clearly this was not the case when trying to convince himself.

Or maybe it was just the people he was meeting with. They were hardly things to be trifled with. The power that emanated from them made his daughters look like pedestrians. Wanting to look good enough not to squash was a natural reaction. It just wasn't one he particularly liked.

It wasn't something he had much time to think about though, as the meeting room was just ahead. He adjusted his tie self-consciously, before catching himself, and forcing his arms to his sides, and glanced in a nearby reflective surface. So what if these people had the power to implode the universe? They wanted his help. And that gave him the power.

A small smirk had settled across his mouth by the time he walked into the dark room, and managed to stay in place even as the deep voice boomed in annoyance.

"Your plan failed."

Bob shrunk slightly. "It was your agent that messed it up, not mine."

"He has been dealt with."

He managed a smile with confidence he didn't feel. "Then we still have two months to find a plan your agents won't screw up."
