It's hot!
What a great day.. first of all to any and all who may come across here.. Happy Memorial Day and God Bless those who are and for the souls of those who gave it all for our country and safety....for you and me!
We did the barbecue thing yesterday with the kids and all their friends. It was a bit overwhelming.. poor Mark was such the trooper...all those female hormones running around. Scary! Then a miracle happened...they all left, even mine! We sucked up all that alone time in delight. He even slept over.. in separate rooms of course. lol I know.. we still haven't. It's a good thing and a lesson we are trying so hard to teach the girls. I hope it works because it's torture some days!!!
Ok.. back to the weekend.. not sex! It was actually pretty funny, even Pastor Jim talked about sex on Sunday during services. It's all around me just not in my bedroom. lol As tough as it is.. it's the right thing to do.
Ok.. let's try this again.. TODAY.. today was nice. The parade went by this morning and we stood for a moment of silence with the Vets next door at the VFW. I have such respect for them. Then we cleaned up, packed a picnic lunch and headed up to Jim Thorpe for the day. What a great idea it was. We went hiking for about 3 hours or so. It was gorgeous. We climbed to the top of two mountains. The first one overlooking the gorge. The second was a climb to the top of the waterfalls. Heavenly beautiful. Hard work! But so worth it. I can't wait to do it again. A great place to share a moment with the one you love.
Ok.. on that note. I am going to go to bed. Back to the office and the grind of everyday life tomorrow. It's going to be a short but challenging week. Mark's car died after the breaks were done $700 later. So he's going to have to drive me into work. Both girl's schedule are out of control for the week. They both play tomorrow night. I'll try to stay grounded!
