oh my goodness.. i forgot how much i love theatre. the short time i have been involved in west side has already made me feel tons better about myself, it is insane. tonight was the first dance rehearsal i was able to attend, and even though i cant dance (at all) i had a blast learning the steps and working on my *shine* (hah hah, as lisa calls them) it was just nice to feel like we were getting something done as a cast rather than the small group rehearsals we have been having. oh man.. this show is going to rock! and everyone should come see it (the weekend of june 21st-ish)
matt and greg are in the show with me, and mike is music director.. which is great cause we get to spend lots of time together. theatre people are just wonderful, and we have all made some great new friends! ive also been able to see people i lost contact with, like zoi! aww man, she is playing anita, and she is fantastic. melissa is maria and is perfect for the part. it has been great getting to spend more time with her, too, since we really only see each other at SAI things.
i wish i was a better dancer. if i was i would seriously think about theatre as a career. or, i would have thought about it? yay almost graduating with a music degree?
