mmm yay for friends
Last night was quite lovely. My friend Rob drove out to visit, and we made a Scottish dish called Cockaleekee (sp?) which is essentially meat stew. Craig and Brian came over, and joined us, and Craig brought some home made hard cider which was much better than I was expecting it to be. Afterwards, we decided to go for a walk. It was lightly raining, and we went to the tree grove on campus which is an awesome place. Such a lovely evening! Also, Rob works in the forrestry dept for his town, and found me a gorgeous stick which he turned into a staff. I think it's white oak. It has a fork at the top, and I think I'm going to make a spider web/dream catcher in the top of it, with an amethyst crystal suspended in the web, and take it on the trail with me instead of hiking poles. I'm not sure about that though, as I may want real poles. In any case, I think I'm going to go make pancake batter for when Rob wakes up. cheers.
