Spending time with metal Harrison Ford
George Lucas lives quite near me--yep, that's true.
I don't know exactly where his house is in San Anselmo (although I know where Skywalker Ranch is--ironically, in Lucas Valley which was called that before he built his empire) but he filmed part of American Graffiti in the city where I live. Recently, he dedicated a park in San Anselmo to his movies, complete with a statue of Indiana Jones and Yoda. ;-) I had to go see that.
Another perk of the Lucas influence is that the county fair always has stormtroopers, Darth Vader and all the other Star Wars characters. This was the first time I'd ever seen Han-in-carbonite, so of course, had to pose with him.
