[Locked FROM Anise - pretty hackable but hopefully not for her |D;;]

Um... does anybody know what can impress a girl? I-I mean... you know... something that'll make a girl happy? Like a present, or...

...I don't know.

[Oh god Simon why are you doing this to yourself.]

[Locked TO Anise, ridiculously hackable, feel free to laugh at his fail] ( Read more... )

[On one hand, she's sick of trying to give Jeremy relationship advice. On the other, he sounds too young to be as spectacularly fail as said crow...]

That does depend on the girl, for the most part... what do you have in mind?

[You'd be amazed how fail this one can be.]

I-I'm not really sure. Some people say flowers, but I'd have to look for where to find them, and some say to bake something, but I can't cook... there's not really much I'm good at.

[She chuckles. He's too young for sure...]

Well, I imagine that a lot of people have suggested gifts of some sort. But gifts only go so far...

As long as you're very kind and gentle, I think most girls will trust you.

Kind and gentle, really? I know it's always better to be kind, but I thought girls liked boys who are tough and strong.

Well, having been married, myself...

I think a better word for it is 'reliable'. It's very comforting to have someone who is always there for you, in any way he can be.

[Mrs. Brisby chuckles a little at that.]

That's right, we do. Granted, it's been a while since I was married, but I think I remember quite a bit about what I liked about my husband.

Because he was reliable?

He was reliable, and loving... he was smart, and very patient and kind.

He also seemed completely fearless! Whenever something bad happened, he always knew exactly what to do to keep everyone safe.

[Belatedly recognizing the past tense, Simon guiltily shuts up about it.] S... sorry.

...Don't be. He left me four wonderful children, so he really didn't give me time to miss him.

[She laughs a little. She doesn't want a kid worrying about her, he's got a life to live instead.]

Four kids? You must have a busy home!

[Voice] courageofheart June 21 2010, 02:20:38 UTC
It can get pretty busy! But it does help fight the loneliness.

But this isn't about me, it's about you. Do you think she likes you, too?

Oh, um... [Erp, unprepared for that one.] I don't know. Maybe... it might not be the same, though...
