Life update

In bullet form

-Classes (and my teaching them) have ended, I am back to working 3 days a week in the visual resource center and spending the rest of the week in my studio. My new studio that is.

-My new studio space is south east St. Louis, it is along the Mississippi River just south of the big Budweiser Brewery. I need to post pictures, it is an interesting location! However, it is still fairly raw, and right now we've been dealing with plumbing problems. I have no idea how it is going to be once the summer heats up, but we're located at the top of a steep hill (to the river) and it seems like there is great airflow when the windows are open. Hopefully we can get the window units up and working.

-Yes, I have been painting, but I haven't been posting much work lately. In part, I am working slower than I used to (real life!) and I've been working through paintings I don't care to post. However, I will try to be better about this in the near future.

-I have a solo show coming up in August, at the 3rd Floor Gallery. Opening reception is August 15th.

-As of today, I'm medically cleared to enter the Peace Corps. This is a big step, and not easily won. Next, placement and then the invitation. I have created a new blog specifically for the Peace Corps, and will be my primary posting place if/when I am in service. I have no plans on discontinuing my LJ, no worries there. I just thought it would be better to protect and separate LJ.
