"It's hell out there" the black-haired woman mumbled, resting her back against the old tree. "No, probably worse."
"I don't understand anything" the younger female said. "I was dead one moment, and next thing I know I'm here surrounded by vampires and who knows what else."
"You think that's crazy? One week ago my biggest worry was a soap opera and now, here I am" she chuckled. "Or at least I think it was a weak ago. There's no time here."
"What do you mean there's no time here?" the teenage girl asked, perturbed a little by that detail. Was it always nighttime?
"Maybe it does, but no one knows. The sun never rises, so we might never find out."
The woman sighed. She seemed tired, and her clothes were ripped off and badly sewed, as if she had sew them over and over again. There were some blood stains on her shirt, but she tried to ignore it.
"So, who are you?"
"My name's Emma."
She formed a tiny smile. "I meant, what are you?"
"Oh. Amazon."
"Huh, that's a new one" she sounded genuinely surprised. "Well Emma, I'm Madison, werewolf."
Emma Winchester took, unconsciously, a step back.
"I would've reacted like that too before, you know. But I learnt how to control myself. There are others like us, monsters who don't want to be monsters. A woman, a vampire... she taught me this, to survive. You can come with us if you want..."
Madison left with quick, long steps. After all, they were waiting for her. She smiled when Emma followed her.
"Welcome to Purgatory, Emma."
