I know we're still on a ship or whatever. I know it isn't real. It's too perfect. There's no dead fish, no seaweed and kelp and worn bits of glass on the shore. That makes it hard to like this beach too much, even though it's...it's really nice.

I guess I .. really hadn't thought about that. I hadn't seen -- many beaches before this one. [by which he means "none," naturally]

Yeah, the beaches in my dreams never had dead seagulls or sharp rocks, did they?
They've got the look right, but not the smell. I guess that's 'cause they have the ground, but nothing here's alive.
