Allie asked for a story about how Nerdanel came to leave Fëanaro, preferrably from the points of view of both characters. You are right, Allie, in that this scene and all of the smaller conflicts briefly touched upon in this tale will one day be part of the epic on which I am working, but this was a great chance to explore this moment now, and I

This is the rub, isn't it?? There are times--especially in AMC--when I am writing such unadulterated happiness, yet it's always overshadowed by the notion of what happens in the story.
Maitimo: Yes, you're hot and oh so noble but you're going to dangle from a cliff for 5+ years and kill yourself.
Fingon: You're a great guy, but you're going to get sliced in half longways and have your banner beaten into the mire of your blood. Yum.
Tyelko: So blond, so pretty...gonna get shot with a thousand arrows before being killed by Dior. (At least according to HoMe.)

*whistles and tries not to think of Feanorians being hanged, maimed, shot, burned by Balrogs and what-not*
Foresight? Thanks, but no thanks. Poor creatures who had it!
As for love making one blind, I'll say it can make you blind, deaf and dumb! At least, in Feany's case we understand eachother. :D

I'm incoherant. No words, except that I loved it. :) *sniffle* Thank you so much for the lovely present, Dawn.
