And so I had to come up with a plot for Feanor/Arien, a way that it could be probable without resorting to wild AU, which seemed to me had the choice to end as 1) a novel or 2) PWP. So your request really got me thinking and pondering how to make a short story of Feanor/Arien and that's when writing becomes fun for me. When connections are made and a story is born, that's just a great feeling.
