AMC--Chapter Twenty-Seven

I'm going to try to keep this short, for once.

I'm going to rate the chapter for general audiences, although there are some mild mentions of sexuality.

Comments and criticisms are always welcome.

Thank you for reading!

(Oh, and Friday's posting: Feanaro's PoV. Eru help us all....)

Do not worry about the non-canon subplots! I like them a lot actually. And what is my Caranthir/Haleth-stuff anything but a whole big non-canon subplot?

Thanks! And true...and I'm with you in thinking that there was something between them. :^P Although, in Felak!verse, for fear of plagarizing one Unsung Heroine, Caranthir is married to an Elven woman. But Haleth is the only Edain I like, so really, I like the notion of them being together.

I've played the flute for some years, but well, let's better not talk about it... ;-)

Lol! No worries, we'll class it with my trumpet- and guitar-playing skills and leave it at that! :^P

Reading your story I somehow find myself utterly appreciating my rather uncomplicated/undemanding father. :-)

Feanor is kind of a more extreme version of my own father, who was a blatant, impossible-to-please perfectionist. He used to embarrass my mom at school concerts by picking apart the design of the program: "What possessed them to use such an ugly font?" or "What an awful print-job!" and such. (My dad, for years, designed the forms/business cards/etc for many of the major hospitals in central Maryland, as well as having his training as a printer.) He also used to yell at me for typing improperly or looking at the keys or (also) choosing ugly fonts for my stories and school papers. Unlike Feanor, though, he's becoming more relaxed in his old age and we're now good pals. Our similar neuroticisms compliment each other nicely!

Sorry, I fear I'm in a silly mood today. :-P

No worries there! That describes me just about every day, and comments that make me laugh make the boring life of a research statistician just a bit more bearable. ;^)

Oh, I wouldn't have felt offended in the least. :-) But it will be nice to see him married, I think. Actually I've been even thinking of writing a story in which there is a wife back in Aman. However that story will necessarily (since there will still be Haleth) have quite a loose grip on LaCE. But well, my stories have anyway, so who cares? ;-)

Feanor is kind of a more extreme version of my own father, who was a blatant, impossible-to-please perfectionist.

I think the fact that my parents are so easily to please lies in the fact that I'm actually the first of my family to get her A-levels and go to University. That fact gets proudly passed to all kind of relatives, but gets a little embarrassing whenever they start asking me what I plan to do when I'm finished with studying. Err, no idea?

My father is actually so laid back that it's sometimes unnerving. He's still calm when I'm already ranting and raging. And it's not hard too type better than him... he's hardly using more than one finger :-D
