Okay, so first of all, I caved. I'm now on Tumblr. I'm still figuring out how it works! I haven't posted anything yet. I'm planning to use it for fannish and writerly stuff only; this place will still be where I babble about a combination of RL, writerly, and fannish stuff. I'd certainly appreciate anyone who wants to follow me or who has any good ( Read more... )

I followed you on Tumblr (Vanimore).
I don't really blog anything, I just reblog pretty pics or stuff I find interesting.

OMG That Cosmarxpolitan set. I was in fits!

That is what Tumblr is for me, although there are certain more 'political' things I reblog if I find them important, but really things that make me laugh or I find inspiring: pictures and some quotes. I use the 'ignore' button a lot to keep away from the kind of stuff you have been seeing there re: The fandom. It would drive me to drink.

I've been really using the site for just ten minutes and will second Oshun! :D

Yes, I agree with Oshun. I joined Tumblr nearly two years ago, and then didn't go on it for a year. I had my older computer then, and Tumblr is so GIF heavy that it froze. Then I found some GIFFs that made me laugh, and that's really what I look for: something to cheer me up!
I wouldn't dream of posting thoughts or opinions on there. I am not the right person for social networking sites, because of the 'social' aspect. I rarely even do that on my f-list here, so Tumblr is a definite no-no.

Oh! Heeh! I thought you were agreeing with Oshun's assessment of Tumblr in general, and how hard it is to communicate - which I completely agree with. Pictures are safe and pretty XD
