I'm Not Just Certifiable--I'm CERTIFIED!!!
Meaning I got my teaching certificate in the mail today from West Virginia! I was so happy that I made a high-pitched keening sound and kissed the paper. IKR? I feel like those of you who have been stuck with me for the whole 4+ years must be relieved not to have to read anymore whingy/ranty woe-is-me-my-certification!!1! posts. ;) I'm very relieved not to have to take 16 credits of classes that I don't actually need (and, being that they'd be education classes, probably wouldn't find very engaging or challenging or useful and would set me back another semester toward getting my "real" MA and, consequently, Advanced Professional Certification.)
Now I am wondering if I should worry about hurricanes or snow storms!
Do check it out. It could be scary, with a combination of a tropical system coming in with an Artic low on the tail end to whallop us with snow. I don't know what the predictions are for NYC, but Bobby's been keeping an eye on this for about a week now for us here in Maryland; it was being called by only two weather models initially (two of the better but still), and it felt almost jokey at first, but more models are showing the possibility, and we're getting close--as early as Sunday here in Maryland. I'm a bit frightened, honestly. I don't say this to spread the panic but because I hope my friends who might also be in its path are aware and prepared. :(
