My birthday was two weeks ago, and I took some birthday pics that I am now just getting around to posting. Until recently, I had to plug into the USB hub at my desk to yoink photos off of my camera, but today, I fiddled with some wires and can now do so from the couch, meaning that pictures will be posted in a more timely fashion and I can become ( Read more... )

Ooh, I love bargain prices for big mythology books... I got this one:

for something like $10 or $15 at Borders. Soon as I opened it, I got trambled by a zillion plot bunnies. :D (And hey guy on the front cover: not in public, man! :P)

Oh, I had no idea that you used to do cakes!

Well, all I really did with cake decorating was go to a class when I was about 14 or 15 or so, but the friend I'd signed up with kept saying she couldn't go each week and everytime she said that, I freaked out too much about being in a room full of 30+ old ladies without I knew to sit with me, so I didn't really get too far past learning how to make frosting and icing and squeezing out borders around the edges and writing and all that. (No roses or pretty decorations or anything...) ^_^; But it was fun while it lasted, even though my cakes were always insanely ugly...

Meanwhile, I was exciting just at downloading Flock yesterday....

I haven't heard of Flock... is it worth checking out?

I wonder if Bobby would have bought for me a book with a naked dude on the cover.... >:^]]

Probably not. In the past year, the poor man has been forced to come to terms with the idea that his wife writes regular Elfsmut and Elfslash (and has to see it on his friends' page) and share me with a certain red-haired Noldo.... :^P

Anyhoo: Flock. It's free for downloading on Photobucket at the moment. You use the LJ photo service, right? I don't know how that works, but the good thing about Flock is that you can upload a whole mass of photos at one time (versus Photobucket where you're limited to 19 and it takes forever to enter each photo individually). Also, it lets you surf the 'net while they're uploading, which I cannot do while PB does it's thing. Supposedly, you can drag and drop html code into LJ entries, but I had trouble getting this to work consistently for me. It is easier to copy html code than on PB, however.

So depending on how LJ works for you, I'd say, yes, if it's anything like PB then check it out! As many photos as you upload, it would be very helpful, I'd think. :)
