Last Chapter of AMC and Epilogue

Apr 28, 2006 08:15

Well, this is it: The last posting for AMC, the final chapter and a short epilogue by Tyelko to (hopefully) bring the story around in a circle, to close the year.

The final chapter, from Nelyo's PoV, you should be aware is rated adult for sex.

I have far less to say than I thought I would! AMC is far from over; besides more stories in the series ( Read more... )

But I love devious!Maglor scaring his little brothers all the time.

I recall in a previous chapter (must be somewhere before chapter 20..) that even though it sometimes scares Tyelko, he loves his brother for telling him scary stories *grin* I think those two have an unspoken brotherly chemistry between them.

I was wondering if people were making the connection...or at least wondering about Macalaure's strange injuries and sudden affection for his father.

Well I also do recall (LOL, I wonder if this makes you re-read your own chapters again) that a while back, that Macalaurë, Nelyo and Fëanor were swordfighting in the woods (while the little ones played with wooden swords and this is pre Vingarië), that once Fëanor forced Maglor to fight with swords, he found his special way to fight with this weapon. I think at that moment things started that resulted in this asskicking sword fight! Dayum Maglor! Wuv ya!

*then hands him back to you before you are forced to take drastic measures* ;)

Nah, hugs are fine... *snogs Maglor*

I've found plotbunnies too in the Great Journey--the relationships between the kings of the Eldar especially--but those bunnies are content to nap in the bunnynest for now, luckily. ;)

[whispers]Let's remain quiet around them for our sakes....[/whispers]

52 chapters amazes me. If I had kept to posting once per week, it would have been exactly a year. Once I revise, the chapters will probably change a bit, but that's a pretty cool coincidence nonetheless.

Well you wrote a year of this family... in 52 chapters, a year has 52 weeks... So I say: this was meant to be :) Very full circle!

Holy, this whole blindfold thing is completely distracting!

I meant: that once Fëanor forced Maglor to fight with swords blindfolded, he found his special way to fight with this weapon.

I remember this part too! (And after 350K words, remembering what I've written is often an issue! :^P) Nelyo recalls how Macalaure is so easily defeated in swordfights with their father, how he is often hurt, and how--recently--even Tyelko can nearly beat him. Feanaro puts on the blindfold as an exercise; Nelyo does meh but Macalaure really rock 'n' rolls. And so it begins. :)

I think I wrote this part, actually, after rereading that. I doubt I would have remembered it on my own!

Okay, now I feel daft because I totally did not think of that!

*twirls (blond) hair and grins vapidly* 8^D
