Hot Tamales!

Nov 18, 2005 10:04

Sabina has agreed to be my partner in business and we are going to be making our very 1st batch of tamales soon. For those not retardidly addicted to myspace...(1) pat on the back and (2) you missed my call for
nicies wanting to help me start up a small tamale-delivery business in Austin. I think Bean and her bf might even deliver them on bike! Exciting stuff.

So at this point, we are needing to decide what kinds we want to make and how much to charge. I'm estimating it will cost me about $10 a batch (about 56 tamales/5 doz.) and then I can charge about $10 per/dozen or so?

I have recipes foooor:

-Beef
-Chicken/green chile

-Vegan Ones (can't decide on these)...Help me out you veg-heads
-Veggie Ones
(a) bean/cheese
(b) green chile/cheese/onion?
(c) white corn n' cheese *my idea*

-Sweet Tamales
(a) chocolate!
(b) rasin/nut (I hate these, btw)

1. I can only make a few kinds p/ week, so tell me which sounds most appealing to y-o-u.
2. Also, send me your reccomendations for fillings (Am I missing something good?)
3. Should I offer a salsa or something, too?
4. Is $10/doz reasonable?
