first day
so school was kinda boring for a first day. I only had one class and that was digital media. It shoulda been named remedial basic computer skills. It will actually be a good class once it gets rolling but today we found out who the computer idots are and who the nerds are. I guess I fell into the nerd catagory, cuz even though i'm not really familiar with a Mac other than my new notebook, I can still get around without holding the class up. I ended up helping a couple other people most of the time. "Where's the save thingy?" "it's over there, on the top left... no the other one... no, there. okay, no, wait, there! see it? noooooo....." I use paint shop pro on my pc, here we're using photoshop, so it's gonna be a bit slow for a while till I find all the tools and shortcuts, but day-um! These people need to be in a basic computer skills class so the rest of us can get something accomplished.
Our assignment and project for the week is to come up with a logo for ourselves. If your in a band or a solo artist doesn't matter, just gotta come up with an image and then a logo... I'm really torn here cuz I'm both. I'm a solo artist but I'm also going to start a new project while I'm here and I don't know which one to promote. I'm thinking about calling this new project simply "The Paul Scott Project", or PSP for short. I already have my Sonic Dirt persona, but I think it's kinda cheesey. the only problem with PSP is Sony just started that massive ad campaign for the playstation portable. Last thing I need is a legal battle, I'll lose. Anyways, any of you design savy peoples out there have any ideas or suggestions for a logo or anything, let me know, I'm way open to ideas at this point... lol. The project is gonna be industrial/electronic/progressive/rock. I'm not sure how many musicians there wil be yet, but it's going to have at least 2 keyboard players, a dj, guitar/bass and a couple drummers. Who knows, maybe I'll go Uberschall style and have 4-6 drummers! LOL, that would be a kick in the ass!
