So it seems all my stories of late are from the National Park Service thing where I go shock baby trout and count them. Well here is yet one more.... Only everyone who reads this is getting ripped off because the real live action happenings were soo ridiculous that no matter how I type it, it can never be as funny as the real thing. In fact this happened on Tuesday around say 11am and I am still giggling about it. So here it goes.
Picture with me, if you will, A sunny warm day the setting is a Park near a small stream. Me in a large awkward electro shocking pack which has attached to it a long metal pole with a loop on the end, and a long wire tail. The stream we (john, Blair, and myself) are heading down to is a good bit below us on a nice steep muddy incline. In fact about 10 min prior to this story I was attempting to climb back up the hill rather unsuccessfully and had to pull on baby privit to get up. Anyway back to the story. (wait rewind mind you the first time down the hill I made fun of Blair for going slow) Ok... So john runs down the hill to the stream like a graceful deer or some shit. So I start down and realize this might not work. The hill is straight up mud and some small bamboo and privit plants. I take a few slow sideways steps and Blair says "I think Jenn is going to bust" or something along those lines. And as she finishes those words I start to slide. At first this is ok due to the side ways steps I just kind of go down into a sitting on a mud hill stance, this is when I proceed to glare at Blair in this I BLAME YOU way and hold the look as I feel the large pack start to pull me over down the hill. At this point the glare is broken because I am not rolling down the muddy steep hill like a kid playing in the grass. Only no grass only privit and bamboo but not strong enough to stop me so I just take it all down with me.. Next thing I know is I am face down in the stream in a doggy style stance and john is in my face laughing at me. Blair is doing a very similar laugh up above me on the hill. I replay what it must have looked like and then too cannot stop laughing. Thus my last day of electro shocking ended on a rather damp, muddy, and clumsy note. BUT that is a fall to top all falls. I would pay to have it on camera! This is the aftermath. It does not do it justice.
