happy new fears? (and other awful puns!)
yo 2009, what's hapnin? It's me, jon. I got some resolutions fo ya. Kick it:
- To know what the hell I'm doing when I'm doing it (ie. self confidence)
- Complete honesty
- To continue pursuing truth
- Not to submit to temptation (ie. get that NOLA girl off my back)
- To take knowledge from what I've learned (not fall back on bad habits)
- Make friends and not just acquaintances in New Orleans
- To let go ((what's superiority?))
- Really get to know everyone at lowernine headquarters
- Play in the quarter more often
- Get better at meeting women in bars
- Continue traveling the US
- Be chilllllll
- Come fall, enjoy Oberlin.
- Write more poetry
- Read more books
- Record an album (or two)
- Not get too paranoid about the looming large scale international conflict or.... do the right thing when the shit hits the fan*
* I'm serious. Israel's recent bombings of Gaza make me real uncomfortable. Sucks to be Barack right now. International recession. Everyone knows war is profitable. Putting this two with that two adds up to me being a scared duder. Powers that Be: Keep your cool for all of our sakes!
