With Drew gone to upstate New York for the weekend with his dad for a parade in honor of Elmer Ephraim Ellsworth*, how many useful things can Dawby accomplish around the house before he comes home on Sunday? Gig tonight, gig tomorrow.
*Colonel Ellsworth is considered the first true casualty of the Civil War. To Mechanicville and the surrounding area he's a big hero, but how he died is actually kind of dumb, IMO. Apparently, there was a big Confederate flag flying above an inn in Virginia, clearly visible from across the Potomac at the White House. Rather than have his president offended by the sight of the rebel flag, Ellsworth took his infantry regiment (mostly made up of volunteer firemen from New York City) and went to capture Alexandria. This went uncontested until Ellsworth tried to leave the inn with the flag, whereupon the owner appeared and shot him in the chest, only to be immediately shot down in return by the corporal accompanying Ellsworth.
