Nothing Journal worthy of late, though I have been working more on pictures. Haven't uploaded any in a while, though I may do a bit of that today.
We're starting on Katie's halloween costume. Ember, as she appeared in the episode "Pirate Radio". Yes, my daughter is going to be a Rock 'n Roll Pirate Ghost for Halloween. We've got the blue hairspray (despite being warned about having green hair for a week afterwards), the guitar (which needs blue flames), the patterns, and the gloves which she doesn't want to wear because, even being child size, they're too big.
I'm also getting ready for NaNo. soon I'll be dusting off
nancynotes and posting a couple of test runs (a one day and a one week) over there. It's all character backgrounds this year, even the test runs. As always, (if you haven't yet) if you want to read the works in progress, friend
nancynotes, and I'll friend you back on that journal. Whether it's warning or enticement, I'm not sure, but this year's novel itself should fall under Fantasy Erotica. I thought it might be more Romantica, but there's very little romance in it. (though again, commenting will be turned off so that I don't get distracted by criticisim or feedback mid-November). The One week test will probably fall more under Romantica. The one day test will be, more or less, clean. Those will have commenting enabled. (And if I do write any explicit scenes, feedback is very welcome because I don't see it as my specialty, though I've gotten fairly positive feedback on it before.)
I still have to decide on my NaNo rewards too. I'm nowhere near as organized as I was last year. I'm hoping that's because it's a character background for an active character, and notes would too easily lead to actual writing.
Right now, I'm hoping that the rain dies down for about an hour come 3:00 so that when I go get Katie, I don't get soaked.
