I think the most challenging aspect of changing one's diet (note: not going _on_ a diet) and working out is-for me-learning what are the foods that are great, what foods are okay, and what foods are the no-no. This past Friday the 17th was the first weigh-in where I didn't loose or break even, I actually gained a pound or two. Yecch. I didn't like that, I thought I'd been running/cycling well all week and lifted weights a bit too. But to see a gain of two pounds? That wasn't what I wanted, I wanted to keep trimming the fat. Makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong? Or does this typically happen during the process?
I'll still keep pushing this week make no mistake, I'm not giving up, it's hard work, I know it is, and some workouts are easier than others. But I'm still going after it, better health, better life. Just was a (tiny) downer to see that Friday gain. Hmm....
Oh and happy fathers day to those fathers out there. Since mine has passed I guess the significance of the date is lost a bit on me now. But I'm okay with that, saves on the hallmark card I guess?
