I just started a programming blog (
http://davy8.wordpress.com/) where I'll be discussing my personal projects. I decided on Wordpress as opposed to another LJ account like I did before for a few reasons.
First of all, it's more professional looking than LJ and the plan is to have it develop into something I can put on my resume. Secondly I don't have to worry about switching users back and forth when I'm posting.
In line with this I've decided to revive (i.e. redo) my Chefbook project. I set up a project for it on Google Code and it's licensed under GPLv3. I'll be doing my first check-in of the little code that I have some time tomorrow. My hope is that by blogging about it I'll increase it's exposure as well as mine as a software developer. As an added bonus by nature of writing out my design decisions for public viewing, it'll make me rethink the designs and indirectly make me write better code.
I'm sure most of you won't be terribly interested in it, but it's there for those who are (probably just バンスさん :p). I feel like I'm actually going to be following through and finishing what I started this time, so hopefully I'm right. I'm actually pretty excited about this, and it's probably the main reason I can't sleep right now (the other reason would be that I had coffee at 10:00... but that's almost 6 hours ago so it can't be just that).
Mana's actually taking an interest in web development and not just web design, which is cool, cause we can have geekier discussions now! She's actually really liking it so I'm happy for her :)
Anyway, that's all from me for now.
