Murphy's Law

So the Comcast guy came by today, turns out the building maintenance person was sick today, so they weren't able to do anything, rescheduled for Wednesday. At the same time I also tried to get a new metro area wifi service that just became available in my area and was thinking of dumping Comcast entirely, so they came out today as well. Couldn't get a signal strong enough inside the apartment, and I need to get written permission to do any kind of building mounting which I doubt we'd be able to get since it's explicitly stated that no antennas or satellite dishes are allowed, and that would fall under more or less the same category.

Comcast isn't even sure exactly what the problem is, they just suspect something, but they need to get on the roof to figure out if what they think is correct, which they haven't been able to do since the last time they were here the maintenance person was out of town, and now today he's sick apparently. I'm not even sure if they'll be able to fix it Wednesday since I don't think it's the entire building, seems like it's somewhere between the main building connection and our room's connection, which I don't know if they'd be able to take care of that Wednesday if that was the case.

Almost 2 weeks without internet so far. Murphy's Law at it's finest. If they can't get it Wednesday I'm gonna call Quest and see if we can get DSL without paying for a landline for phone...
