Friday, the 13th of January, 2006. Dad's 80th Birthday! Hooray!
Hooray! My father, Irving, hits the big 80 today! Amazing, since he survived a major stroke two years ago. But today, after I'm done moving a bunch of stuff from his office of 15 years, I'll be taking him out to a pistol range.

No, no.. it's not what you think! I'm not putting him down, you silly people! Jeez! He loves shooting, and quite frankly, even left-handed he's a better shot than I am.
Here's a nifty note to all the triskeidecaphobes out there. Both my dad and my sister, Miriam, have birthdays on the 13th day of their birth month (hers is September 13th). Looked at a certain way, January might be considered the 13th month! And weirder yet... Dad turned 13 on a Friday the 13th in 1939 (39 is 13x3, in case you're following along)! Who says 13 is unlucky?
In other news, I made top seller at Adray's in December ($42 Grand! WOOT! ). I guess I'm working out okay! Wish I could take home some of that, but my part is a measly 6/10ths percent commission. Nice little extra, but not nearly as good as the spiffs on select items. Just about doubled my regular income for that month. Looking forward to leaner months ahead though.
