How about some advice from an older man? *wink, wink*

I think what is most important is that you really start to figure out what is most important to you and how you can sustain that importance. If you have to work then, no you dont quit the job, you look for a new one.

When your working for someone always try and remove the emotion from the process, remember, you choose to work for these people, no one is forcing you. In exchange for your services you are getting paid. Put it something like this:

"I am putting forth a lot of effort in this job and accomplishing most of the work you set out for me, can we discuss what it is I need to do to get a raise in pay?"

Then you ask for it in writing, and do your best to accomplish those goals. You then have the basis by which to expect a raise based on what you were told you need to do. If your fired for asking to discuss it then you were going to be fired anyway most likely.

In the intrum, keep looking for another job, even if you discuss the matter and you get your goals, keep looking. You might get an offer, then you can tell these people to go fuck themselves, or tell them you have another offer pending and want to renogitate your hourly rate.

So recap:

1. Start looking for another job.

2. Ask to discuss what you need to do to get a raise.

3. Remove the emotion from your work.

Remember, they are paying you. You may feel like it isnt enough and that is your right, but they are not forcing you to take thier shit, you choose to by showing up to work. So change that condition and increase your options by looking for another job.
