Dr. Drew Pinsky at UMSL Sex Week
Dr. Drew Pinsky is one of my heroes. I think he does great things. He’s the Anti-Dr. Phil and the Anti-Dr. Laura. I got a chance to see him when he spoke at UMSL’s Sex Week. He’s just as impressive in person as he is on TV and radio. The night was basically like a live version of Love Line.
One observation: Last year for Sex Week, Washington University booked Ron Jeremy and Annie Sprinkle. This year they had Tristan Taormino. Wash U gets porn stars; UMSL gets a board certified addiction medicine specialist who advocates monogamy and 12 Step programs. That and about a squillion dollars a semester crystallizes the difference between the two institutions of higher learning.
