I was lost.
"Let me show you my sadness," she said as she left her clothes on the floor. "Put your sadness inside of me and let our misery become one."
Recognition. Rememberence. Reinvention.
Love found me in the ballroom, waiting, to run my fingers through her finely combed hair. Our embrace may only last for but a song, a moment, a breathing pulse, and I'm not sure of how to hold her. She has so many different forms. When I touched her on the back it felt like singing on my skin, but this contact frightened me. So I spun her away to see if she was real. Then, as if sensing my hesitation, she grabbed me, then kissed me to rearrange my mind. Now I see her everywhere, even in my cries.
Found. Picked up. Reclaimed.
"Bring the earth your love and happiness.
The earth will be safe when we feel safe in ourselves." - Thich Nhat Hahn
I see the path again. It had been covered with the dead leaves and darkness of my fears.
