This weekend was pretty much an emotional roller coaster. Friday was the wake and Saturday morning was the funeral. Saturday afternoon I got to get my hair colored which is usually a nice relaxing experience. Unfortunately, through a series of mistakes, the kidlet's $300.00 glasses were stepped on and one of the bows was snapped off. We ended up spending several hours trying to fix the frames. Wal-Mart actually took the lenses and re-cut them to fit a new (118.00) frame. At least the kidlet had functional glasses for his week at camp. I spent Saturday evening putting his name or initials on every single item he was taking to camp. Sunday morning we dropped him off with 7 other boys to head up to camp in New Hampshire. I spent most of the rest of the day helping aquafolius with props and visiting with many fun people. The evening was capped off with some lovely fire works. I really miss the kidlet. I had gotten used to picking him up from camp every day and getting a detailed account of exactly how he spent his day. Now I don't even know where he is other than a camp name and address. I have never seen the place and I won't see the place. One of the Dad's will be dropping him off at home next Saturday. It's going to be a long week.
