As a newbie to Numb3rs and the David Sinclair love, I thought it might be fun to start an "Everything you want to know about David Sinclair" thread. I looked in the memories and couldn't find a profile for him so I thought I'd start one

Off the top of my head: he sucks at chess, loves the Beatles, enjoys arcade games (Frogger and Pacman come to mind).

Truthfully, we don't have a whole lot of facts about him. Until Season 4/5, there wasn't much character development for anyone but Charlie and Don. Season 4 and 5 has really allowed the other characters to come into their own... hopefully we'll learn even more in Season 6.

We also know that David obviously has ambition since he applied for (and received) a promotion to be Don's second in command. He's the straight shooter on the team, doesn't play bad cop/good cop.

Our friends at numb3rs_news go through all the posts that are made to Numb3rs communities in a day and a good subject line makes the job they do a lot easier

He's got such great taste. I love him.

The fandom really needs more David love. I'm not sure why he seems to be underrepresented in fic and fanart. Of course, I'm just as guilty - although I've been writing more David/Liz. *swoons*

I'm hoping this challenge will spread some of the David love. \o/

Please don't apologise, I'm loving all this David talk. He's my favorite character in any fandom right now, any chat about him is for the win. ;O)

I was just watching "The Running Man", and in putting that punk Ron in his place, David says:
"Spend 18 years dodging gangs, working to help support your family, beating every odd out there just to get your high school diploma. Then you can sit here, talk to me about what's fair."

So we know he must have had a job in high school, probably something in the neighbourhood.

As for "beating every odd out there", 70% of black males in New York City drop out of high school. So David had to have worked hard to make it into that 30% who graduated. And that actually fits with what we know of David's background, because of the three friends, only David graduated--Ben was put in juvie and Earl is dead. That's about a 33% graduation rate. Some odds, huh :P
