~ David - poor David. I was sooooo excited for him at the beginning when it showed him on a date (though I have to admit, I wanted it to be with Claudia). I thought it was really great that it showed this side of him. Then the poor thing found out that he’d been set up from the beginning. See why there aren’t any good guys left in the world?? This kind of stuff happens to them and they turn bitter. I don't like it that they didn't really resolve this issue in its entirety on screen. Some of us want to know what ultimately happened with him and how he dealt with it...come on people...don't leave us hanging like that!!!
~ Nikki - I think it was interesting how she was so encouraging with David. First she’d tell him to quit bitching and just call the woman and then she’d be calling him Big Guy and telling him that this kind of stuff happens to everyone. I also like that they switched it up and had her working with both David and Colby throughout the episode. It was also cool when she got to be the one to turn the box near the end to reveal where the artisan was hiding.
~ Colby - my goodness he was tasty!! I loved all of his jokes about the dark and how Nikki was giving him a hard time. Hehe He was there off and on, but kind of in the background. But again…when he was there….YUM!!
~ Donnie - I like the way that they are approaching this whole religion, the quest for more, issue. They aren’t really making it a focal point, but they aren’t just letting it slip away like nothing happened either. I’m not sure where it’s going to go, but I do think that they are handling it well so far. I really like that Don and Larry were having conversations about it. Those two don’t talk enough anymore. Thankfully Donnie was back to giving us some more of those baby-inducing smiles again too. : )
~ Charlie and Amita - I’ll be the first to admit that it took me until Season 4 to even see ANYTHING that was between these two…the chemistry just wasn’t there or felt forced. Lately they’ve really been doing a much better job with these two and I really loved that these two had completely different views on magic and instead of letting it be a source of tension, they turned this into something better. I think the scene at the end of this epi was one of my favorite moments for those two. Go Amita!! She knows Charlie probably better than anyone and if anyone can get him to open his eyes and his mind, I believe it’s her.
~ Penn - OMGYAY!!!!!! I LOVE Penn and Teller and I thought it was so fun that Penn got to be in this episode! I thought he did a really great job and he was definitely the high point of the magic aspect of this episode. I think I could have done without every other character affiliated with the storyline. Hahaha Especially, Mr. Weirdy McWeirdo in the very white room. *cringes
All right folks…those are some of my thoughts…now it’s your turn to sound off. What do you think??
