Birthday Dinner - backdated - 9/11/04

Lilah had tried, in vain, to suggest other restaurants, but David had a tendency to get his way on lesser days, and this was his birthday. It was a losing battle from the outset.

And so, they came to be sitting in the Lebanese restaurant that David loved and Lilah hated, the restaurant with no chairs, just cushions on the floor, set around low tables.

Under the reign of David they had to order the banquet. There was something so very festive about the banquet. Something very celebatory. And this was supposedly a celebration. Besides. He was starving.
