According to Martin Luther and Lutheran Theology there is no such thing as free will. "Bondage of the Will" abounds. To whom are you bound? God's Word or self serving/evil/Satan? Rape induced pregnancy is indeed an evil act. To be sure God can give life to that act and bless it. But rape induced pregnance is still an act of evil. Rape induced pregnancy is not a pregnancy induced by or caused by God. Rape induced pregnancy is not a gift induced by God.

Interesting. I'm not familiar with the Lutheran stand on free will. Thanks for explaining it. In this philosophy, does the individual have a free choice whether to be bound by God or Satan? If so, can one change one's choice? If one is free to switch sides as often as desired, that would seem to be a sort of free will. Or perhaps I'm not grasping the basic concept. (I'm just thinking out loud, here, and not really making any claims.) Either way, thanks for adding to the discussion.

Your comments regarding free will are excellent points. (I wish more people would open their presents, too. More compassion is needed.)
