My brother sent me the following email message:
I saw her stand-up comedy act on Wednesday night. It turns out her Iraq stint has been delayed for a few months. There was a little bit of geek humor, but not as much as I expected. Some of the jokes I'd already heard from listening to her Dork Forest podcast on BlogTalkRadio.com, but it was still quite funny. Anyway, if you're not planning anything this weekend, you might want to check out her show, or pass this news along to anybody you think might be interested.

> For those who aren't familiar with "The Dork Forest" it is a podcast that takes place on Thursdays, 4:00pm-5:00pm, Pacific Standard Time (so 6pm-7pm here in Minnesota). It is a mix of all things obsessive (movies, comic books, SF, anime, etc.). Show listeners are prompted to call in and tell Jackie about the strange and bizarre things that they just can’t live without. She has a snarky sense of humor. Jackie is originally from Wisconsin, is a bona-fide geek, and currently living in Southern California. Jackie and her co-host Joe chat about “dorky” items that cross their paths and include anything from musicals to comic books, but usually most callers seem to talk about their lives as comedians.
