Michael Silberkleit, Chairman of Archie Publications Dies

Newsarama has the article, which I read about 4 hours ago.

I met Michael last year at the New York Comic Con, but his influence expanded far beyond that thirty-minute conversation. Over a decade ago Michael wrote an article for PREVIEWS, the comic cataloge, called "Creating Tomorrow's Readers Today." It was an article that stayed with me for some time. You see, I love comics - across the board - Archie, Sandman, Superman, Y, Preacher, Blankets, [and the list goes on from there], and naturally, I want to share the love of the medium with everyone I know, and in this one simple article, written over a year ago, Michael told me how to start that process. As Chairman of Archie Publications, Michael had a hand in creating an American icon that has stood the test of time, and in doing so, inspired me to be a better writer.

Rest in Peace, Michael
