9:45ish: Huh? What is that strange smell?
9:48ish: *grumbles as gets off couch*
9:50ish: Okay ... my apartment building is on fire. This sucks!
That same time: Twitter and Livejournal action go into effect.

9:51: No, action figures ... you can't come with us.
10:15ish: Six firetrucks ...??? What the hell? I see nothing.
10:17: Neighbor says to me, "It's on the second floor." (Okay. We are on the sixth floor. Taking the stairs could equal burning to death, which is not favorable. So, we can take the fire escape or jump?)
10:19: Fire alarms and building smoke alarm have not gone off?
10:20: Why the hell not? Many, many things bother me about this.
10:22: Okay ... I see some smoke. So, it was a small apartment fire on the second floor? Curse you second floor for ruining my evening.
10:25: Communication from FDNY to building occupants = zero!
10:31: Firetrucks leave.
10:39: Nearby friend Chris arrives to ensure our safety.
