I thought about it , but in the end I didn't go. I spent the day reading, writing, walking for exercise, and hanging out with Sasson. I finished my next book review, which won't appear on NYJB until its publication date in three weeks.

Also it was rainy in NY mid-day, and since it was an outdoor event...

DUH! You may be sweet, but you won't melt. Something cool about walking in summer rain (unless the lightening is acting up.)

Columbia University is more than an hour from my home by subway, and in view of the forecast I doubted whether the event would actually take place.
