This last weekend:
There are few parties that are as diverse as having frat guys, sorority girls and maybe some house cat, but the truly rare ones are when you find greek boys and girls mingling with stoners, hippies, republicans, musicians, epicureans, emo kids, gay guys, lesbians, different races, alcoholics, Zoroastrians, druggies, and “other.” But I have found an even rarer and exceptional party more diverse and entertaining than I thought was ever possible. According to my calculations, the physics and mathematical probability show that an occurrence of Jack Thompson saying anything intelligent is 10 times greater than the probability of such a party taking place. In one evening I ran into more interesting and dissimilar austinites than there are people in my family on the Mexican side, which is just about half of Mexico City. What pleased me most was how well everyone seemed to be getting along. Even the really drunk straight guy didn’t seem to mind how some of the gay partiers were slowly taking away articles of his clothing throughout the evening. I even got to meet Moley and Dave, two breasts that belong to a wonderfully entertaining woman, who are famous throughout parties in Austin for obvious reasons. Another surprising event that lifted everyone’s spirits was the bud falling from the sky, nothing any other party in memory has ever offered! We speculated that it fell through the cracks from the patio deck upstairs but knew it was more likely that god was merely blessing the party with it. Jesus was one of the people at the party after all, so it didn’t seem like an unreasonable deduction that his dad would do something like that. I even got to meet Jesus’ girlfriend, who always seems to be drinking water but never seems to be sober always holding on to her special 32 oz grail. I quickly became good friends with her as we set out on a mission together to find real liquor since beer was just too insufficient in destroying brain cells. We succeeded and quickly caught up and surpassed the inebriated state of our fellow partiers. Overall, it was a most satisfying experience. I would definitely party with any of these people again.
