It would seem my iPad is a representative symbol of my life. The iPad works fine, the iOS continues to update, and other than the battery life being a little bit shorter than it was originally the device remains fully functional.
But just like they do with old people (anyone over, what's the cut-off now, fifty-ish?), the younger generation deems my iPad of no value.
Send us your device and we'll get rid of it for you!
And while you're at it, just get out of here already and give us our inheritance.
