Pug - will it ever be complete?

So, i managed to wire up some sensors, the inertia switch, starter(help of ski), power steering, volt meter, gauge lights, cough*neons*cough leaving me with around 6 wires left before the thing runs, it turns over, just wont spark until ive got the ecu unlocked or spit fuel until the fuel pump primes which im hoping Adam can assist on Saturday to try and finish these elecys off. Put in my new throttle cable that i bought off some guy off my forum im on, he assured me that my old 1.1 would not fit and after lots of cutting, crimping, stretching, bending, it didnt so i invested in a totally original genuine part for half the price off this guy and it fits a charm, only thing is, you push the pedal and no brum brum :(.

I have kind of given up on eta's because im so lost at the mo, besides, the engine might turn over and could have a fucked piston or dodgy crank bearings resulting in me having to take the engine back out again, which is easy but i just can not be assed!!! these electrics have been the final stage for just shy of 2 months now and its kind of getting to me, i know the car can run and be on the road as soon as they are done but *sighs* i just dont know when its all gonna happen. University is getting close and i was hoping to have the thing running, rolling and painted, basically completely finished before i went back so at least i could enjoy maybe a day or two of using it, i guess i will have to see whats happening.

The ultimate plus side is i have not paid for a single ounce of labour (except giving adam a scone for finding the starter motor trigger) good boy adam. Im quite proud of my efforts even if the car is still on my drive way because i have learnt a tremendous amount about the car, so fault finding (when that horrible day comes) should (and i say should) be a walk in the park for me, im looking forward to turbo'ing the engine next summer when i have saved a healthy sum of money so fund it with in the space of a month so i dont have the car off the road for nearly a year and what not. Also i cant wait to get the thing driving because its going to be all about the driving, people may think when its complete the spending will stop, but uh uh, stiffer torsion bars, big 4 pot brakes, cage, swirl pot, internal fuel tank and it will be ready for tracking :-).

Shall keep ya'll posted on the progress over the next few weeks as i believe its getting close to the driving time, but who knows. We will see.

Over and out!
