Dear Master Su,
You flatter me with your compliments. I hardly feel able to receive them, they are high praise indeed.
If I may I have some questions to ask about internal practice.
1. When I practice Xing Yi my ribs tighten and I can really feel my digestive organs. I would train through the discomfort but I wish to be sure I am training correctly. Is this normal?
2. When I practice QiGong I believe I begin to feel my second energy centre. It feels like a cross (X) in the centre of my chest and my arms feel like wings hanging on either side. I feel some meridians opened already but my left arm is taking a longer time. Is this correct?
3. I have begun to practice BaGua from a book. Just walking the circle while holding my arms softly in open positions. I concentrate on my lower Dantien for balance and the rest of my body is in-line. It feel very good but is this correct?
I think when I return to China I will learn BaGua. Continuous movement, the Tao and Ying/Yang seem to me to be very consistent with the natural laws.
I practice these principles with my Staff, which I hold like in ZuìGun (drunken stick) with minimum power. I feel that THE STAFF TELLS ME where it would like to move and I only have to help it get there.
I hope this is correct and that I am following your (and others) martial teachings well.
My greatest appreciation.
