________

So I guess it's been a while since I've updated. I should start doing this more. Not a lot has been happening in groups, just a little bit at a time which ends up adding up to a lot.

Let's see... I've got a few people who are going to write stories for that book I want to put together *cough* http://davidaw.livejournal.com/185981.html?nc=6 *cough*.

For the past month I have been helping a friend come out of the closet, being there for him like I wish I had someone for me when I did.

When he finally came out to his mom, we pulled an all-nighter. Doing everything you can do in Kelso... Which isn't much... but we did a lot of nothing to help pass the time. I think this all happened inbetween August 14th through the 15th. I get a call from him around midnight saying that he just came out to his mom, and I told him I'd be there for him when he did. So I got dressed quickly and drove up to his house. After talking to him for a bit, I had him get in my car and I drove to Sharies to have a congratulatory midnight meal. When we were all done, I brought him over to my house to watch one of my favorite movies, Latter Days. When the credits started, I drove us to where any person would go to at 3 to 4 AM: WINCO!!!

So we loitered around there for a while, scaring the night shift. Then with nothing else better to do at the time, we went back up to his house to just talk, to help him through the odd process of been out to family.

When we were done talking, we heading back into my car to go to the Triangle Mall, to go where the only thing open, besides Winco is: Starbucks! Yummy white chocolate mocha... After relaxing in the big comfy Starbucks chairs, we walked around the Triangle Mall area, passing the time while talking, to discover we had something in common: We can both hear the high pitched electrical buzzing of anything electronic that pretty much everyone can't hear. I remember talking about how annoying the sound of the lights were, which he agreed to. Then I did a double-take after realizing he could hear it too.

When it got later, I drove us to do one of the last things to do in Kelso: go to Fred Meyers! Woohoo! We were the first customers to enter... I can cross that off my check-list of things to do before I die... And if you can't sense the sarcasm, I feel sorry for you. After one walk through we were bored, and went to the Three Rivers Mall, before the stores were open, but the inside of the mall was. And saw all of the mall walkers, the old folks who walk around the mall for exercise. After meeting the elusive mall walkers, we went back to his house and watched DVDs of Invader Zim (which I had never seen up to that point). When I started to drift off, I knew it was time to drive home then or risk falling asleep while driving later.

And that was probably the most interesting thing to happen since I last made an entry.

I now no longer have to babysit my brother constantly. He's now in a group home for the disabled. I'm going to miss him, but it really is so nice to be able to do whatever I need to do or want to do, instead of having to stay at home to watch him. I love him to death, but I lost being able to do a lot of things because I have had to take care of him while my parents are out working or whatever.

I got a small raise at work, and instead of making $8.50 an hour, I now make $8.74 per hour. So that was nice.

And School starts up for me soon, September 18th. I only have 2 more semesters, of 2 classes each and I'm through with LCC. YAY!

And I think that's all I have to say for now, I'll try and update more from now on. ^-^'
