You cannot get to the library from the tunnels, but you can get to within a block of it. You can't go directly into City Hall because there's a metal detector, nor can you get to the library basement. You have to come up for air just before the metal detector and stroll through the park . . .

I'm okay. I got new glasses, to replace the old ones. I'm living in the equivalent of Long Beach. (I don't know L.A. that well, but at least it's not Compton.) I'm expecting the government to honor my SSDI claim pretty soon--I was hoping to use some of the money to hire a private detective. I thought maybe she (a female might be more empathic in this situation) to go talk to Alix and see if she would sign a statement that she was coerced. That might help. She lives somewhere in Colorado, but I have no idea where. Her number is in the case file somewhere; I don't know what it is. I don't want to call her myself--I think that would be inappropriate. But if she could be persuaded to make an exculpatory statement, I could hand it over to the Innocence Project, and they would be able to get me exonerated. Then I wouldn't have to take the bus everywhere. The whole thing is humiliating. I feel that people would be afraid to leave me alone in a room with their children.
It's not just that I didn't molest the girl--it's that *they let the boyfriend go*. That's what really makes me know that the people in Montgomery County were total hypocrites and didn't give a damn about the girl. All their pretty speeches in court about "the welfare of the child," when they knew who was sleeping with her. (I mean, I don't want to get him sent to prison. That doesn't exonerate me. The scenario my first lawyer wanted was "one hero, not two child molesters." I don't care what they do to him, it doesn't help exonerate me to get him sent to prison. Besides, I don't think the county where The Unknown City is would even prosecute him. Not without a statement from her. So he should be safe. ) They scammed Alix, and they scammed the boyfriend, and they got what they wanted, which was a prosecution *in their county,* by any means. They didn't care about anything else, not even Alix.
By the way, I have no intention of showing up on her doorstep. I don't visit people uninvited. I was not raised by wolves. Even if I had the money, *which I don't*, I have no intention of confronting Alix. In the (highly unlikely) event she wants to talk to me, she knows where I live. And if she doesn't, she can *look me up on the sex offender map*. (How humiliating. I get ads for it on my phone now.)
How are you?
